| | Distance is just a state of mind
For those who know me, that’s something that I’ve had (as a nick thingy) for
a long while. I truly believe in this line, that it is just a state of
mind. Afterall, the people that you truly connect with will not be
far from your thoughts most of the time despite the fact that they are
physically apart from you. Especially with the wonders that technology offer us these
days, it’s technically even easier to stay in touch when you are apart than
when you are in the same city or something (due to something called ‘taking
things for granted’ syndrome)
But there are certain days where it’s just harder to take
than others. I hope and wish that I could just drop everything and fly
there, to that city where I long so much to lay my own eyes upon, the streets
where we will stroll & the laughter that comes being evoked by the deepest
joy you can feel.
Today is one of those days. One where the physical distance & time differences are
acutely felt, leisure paces of conversations is impossible and all you have are
millions of thoughts condensed into handwritings and it travels through those
thousands of miles to reach you. Where that is ALL you have.
Sigh. I’ve had some really good days, but somehow today I just
wish distance isn’t such a big part in my life.
On happier notes, everything else is going great. Accd to GCC, I met with both my future and my past on the
same day yesterday :D He could be quite right, but I’ve learnt long ago to just
let things be as time always have lil surprises in store for us.
Photography wise – I find myself getting back into it with a
gusto, bordering on obsession. Wonder if that’s a good or a bad thing.
Singapore
road trip was alright. Revelations in certain things and Phantom was a
disappointment as expected. The other bits of the trip was good though & definitely
a sign that we should all do it again.
Thanks for listening
to me. For coming up with the
little things that make me happy despite your hectic schedule. For the falling back
which I greatly need on a day like this. The 15 minute phone
calls replaces our day long banter, but only makes it mean more.
