I lopped off my small-back-length hair yesterday. It's not an impulsive decision, it's a change which I've decided to make lately.
The presence of people in my life, each of them have so much to bring to me. Don't ask me why I was not compelled to update this space, it's just one of those things. The rest of my thoughts lie in fragments of emails, shared with this one person which is more than 10,000km away, our thoughts intertwined in daily exchanges. Early morning phone calls from UK makes me smile. A kind of drowsiness, laziness when the phone rings, a lazy smile comes along for the me who have just woke up, and for him who is just falling into slumberness.
Aside from that, I drove along the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia for business last week. You reap what you sow, I totally agree with that. Had some really unexpected gems that made my day. Met up with some old friends, under the strangest of circumstances. 4 people, 4 hours and a 10 year old friendship works wonders. A dose of bliss which should only be savoured occasionally as not to lose the loveliness.
My feature in the Uni prospectus will be up soon. I'm officially a Melbourne University Alumni committee after our Alumni Dinner last week. My challenge is to rebrand the alumni, so young Melb Uni grads, pls make sure you fill at least 3 tables next year! It's nice to be involved with Uni stuff again. I had such a great time working with the Uni over the years. MUOSS, SALP, International Office and now, Alumni. Keep up the spirit & ties.
The plethora of birthdays this month meant I had a parcel on its way to France, a phone call to Melbourne, exchanges to the UK for my 2 fave boys and one belated phone call to someone which I've decidedly ignored since I got back from Europe (not intentionally, well OK maybe half intentional) Catched up with the boys over dinner & drinks and karaoke with the usual suspects tomorrow. Woopie.
Since my last entry, I'm now a proud car owner. :D A great sense of accomplishment, really. And I hosted a wedding. There's so much happening and it hit me only when I had 10 pages of backlog to read on my Subscriptions page. Aiee.
Have a good weekend!
